2025 FirstGen Future Scholarship
We at Employee Civil Rights Group are excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity. The 2025 FirstGen Future Scholarship competition invites first-generation college students to share their unique journeys, highlighting the challenges they have encountered and the triumphs they have achieved. As a first-generation student, you have likely navigated unfamiliar academic and social landscapes, often without the guidance or experience of family members who have pursued higher education. This competition seeks to celebrate your resilience and determination, offering you the opportunity to reflect on your personal and academic experiences.
In your submission, we encourage you to discuss the obstacles you’ve faced, whether they be financial, cultural, or emotional, and the strategies you’ve employed to overcome them. Your narrative should illustrate your perseverance and adaptability, showcasing moments of growth and the valuable lessons learned along the way. Additionally, we are interested in hearing about your academic and career aspirations. Share how your experiences as a first-generation student have shaped your goals and motivated you to pursue a particular path.
